Care Tips for Your Solid Wood Furniture
- Maintain your humidity between 45% - 55% Relative Humidity every day of the year to prevent your wood from cracking or joints splitting
- Avoid using solvents, water, cold or hot items on the furniture for the first 30 days so the finish can properly cure
- Avoid direct sunlight (blinds or curtains can be used during the day) and never set your furniture close to a heat register
- DO NOT use wax or any polish that has any type of silicon in it
- Store table leaves in the "table storage area" or in the same humidity as the table (avoid storing in basement)
- Use padding under all rough china and hot or cold items
- Best results for cleaning your furniture is Mohawk Lemon Oil Polish (available at both showrooms) or a damp cloth, then use a dry cloth and wipe the excess water off following the grain
